DNS Troubleshooting for GoDaddy

How to update your DNS with GoDaddy.

If GoDaddy is your domain name provider, follow these steps to update your DNS.

A Record

To change an A record, log in to your account at Godaddy.com. 

  1. Go to the DNS Management page.

  2. On the DNS Management page, click the pencil icon next to A in the Records section.

  3. Make any changes needed to the record, and click "Save" when finished.

CName Record

To change or add a CNAME record, log in to your account at Godaddy.com.

  1. Go to the DNS Management page.

  2. On the DNS Management page, in the Records section, click the pencil icon next to CNAME.

  3. Make any changes to the record, and click "Save" when finished.

TXT SPF Record

To add a TXT SPF record, log in to your account at Godaddy.com.

  1. Go to the DNS Management page.

  2. At the bottom of the Records section, click "Add" and select "TXT" from the menu. 

  3. Complete the following fields: (1) Host, (2) Value, and (3) TTL (we recommend the default). 

  4. Click "Save" when finished.

Once updated, these changes may take up to 48 hours to be reflected on the internet.
