      vCard Contact Download

      Downloadable Contact Information

      What is a vCard Contact Download?

      A vCard (Virtual Contact File) is a digital business card that makes it easy to share contact information in a standardized format. Turning this feature on will allow visitors on your landing page or website to download your contact details directly to their devices, making it convenient for them to save, access, and share your information. vCard contact downloads are compatible with both computers and mobile devices. It is especially effective on mobile devices because the vCard download automatically creates a new contact on the device.

      How to Enable vCard Contact Download for Team Members on a Website

      1. In your FMG account, navigate to Website > Team Members

      2. Click on a Team Member's name to edit their information:

      3. To make your Team Member's contact information downloadable, toggle on the "Display contact card link" option:

      4. When you're done making changes, select Publish to save your edits. If you need to keep working on your Team Member at another time, click Save Draft.

      How to Enable vCard Contact Download for Marketing Suite

      1. In your FMG account, navigate to Landing Page > Design

      2. Select the Settings button

      3. In the landing page settings, find the option labeled "Downloadable Contact Card Link" and toggle it on.

      4. When you're done making changes, select Publish to save your changes. If you need to keep working on your landing page at another time, click Save Draft.

      Field Mapping for vCard Contact Downloads

      What profile information details are mapped to the fields in the vCard? Below is an explanation of the field mapping for the Marketing Suite and Website Suite (Team Members).

      Marketing Suite Field Mapping

      When you enable vCard contact download for the Marketing Suite, the following fields from your profile will be mapped to the corresponding vCard fields:

      First Name →  Name*
      Last Name → Name*
      Title →  Title
      Company Name → Org
      Primary Email →  Email (Type: Work)
      Primary Phone →  Phone (Type: Work)
      Website URL →
      		 URL (Type: Work)
      Portrait →
      		 Photo

      *If a "Custom Display Name" is used, it will replace the First and Last Name fields.

      Social Media Mapping:

      LinkedIn URL → X-SOCIALPROFILE;TYPE=LINKEDIN
      Twitter/X URL → X-SOCIALPROFILE;TYPE=TWITTER
      Facebook URL → X-SOCIALPROFILE;TYPE=FACEBOOK
      Instagram URL → X-SOCIALPROFILE;TYPE=INSTAGRAM
      YouTube URL → X-SOCIALPROFILE;TYPE=YOUTUBE

      Website Suite (Team Members) Field Mapping

      For the Website Suite (Team Members), the following fields are mapped to the vCard fields:

      First Name → Name*
      Last Name → Name*
      Position → Title
      Photo → Photo
      Company Name (from profile) → Org
      Website URL (from profile) → URL (Type: Work)
      Email → Email (Type: Work)
      Phone → Phone (Type: Work)

       *If a "Custom Display Name" is used, it will replace the First and Last Name fields.

      Social Media Mapping:

      LinkedIn URL → X-SOCIALPROFILE;TYPE=LINKEDIN
      Twitter/X URL → X-SOCIALPROFILE;TYPE=TWITTER
      Facebook URL → X-SOCIALPROFILE;TYPE=FACEBOOK

      Note: Enabling the vCard download feature does not require compliance approval. The vCard will only include compliance-approved contact information.
