How to integrate your Microsoft Dynamics contacts with your FMG account
Note: The Microsoft Dynamics integration is only available through certain Broker-Dealers.
Syncing Microsoft Dynamics
- In the FMG admin, go to Contacts > Manage Contacts.
- Then, select Sync MS Dynamics from the CRM options:
- In the modal, select Sync With Microsoft Dynamics:
- This action will take you to a new page where you will log into your Microsoft Dynamics CRM account.
- After successfully logging in, you will be brought back to the FMG Contacts page with a “Microsoft Dynamics Sync Report” modal. Click Continue.
- Next, select your sync settings in the "Microsoft Dynamics Synchronization" modal.
- What Would You Like To Sync From Microsoft Dynamics?
- You can also choose to sync all your contacts/groups or just specific groups from Microsoft Dynamics. This can be updated in the future.
- Then, select Next or Continue.
- Note: During the syncing process, if you have any contacts in your FMG account, these will be replaced with your Microsoft Dynamics contacts.
- Ready to sync your contacts? Click Got It, Sync With Microsoft Dynamics.
Contact Limits
Contact Integration is limited to 30,000 contacts and/or 1,000 groups in your Microsoft Dynamics database, regardless of how many are selected to sync. Attempts to sync databases over this size limit will fail.
Updating Your Sync Settings
To update your sync settings (select new or remove groups) after your initial integration:
- Navigate to Contacts > Manage Contacts in your admin
- Select the arrow dropdown next to Update Contacts and choose Update Current Settings:
- You can then update the contact settings in the "Microsoft Dynamics Synchronization" modal.
- Click Save when you’re done.
Sync Frequency
The sync frequency between Microsoft Dynamics and FMG will occur automatically once a day. To manually update the sync, click Update Contacts.
