LinkedIn Post Failures on 9/16/2025: What You Need to Know

Overview

On September 16, 2025, between 3:00 AM PT and 10:40 AM PT, we experienced LinkedIn post failures and integration disruptions. This was caused by an unexpected API update by LinkedIn, impacting users who scheduled posts during this timeframe. Unfortunately, not all failed posts could be restored and resent. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Who May Have Been Impacted

To determine if you were impacted, navigate to the Social > Shared & Scheduled page. Look for posts scheduled on September 16, 2025. If an expected LinkedIn post is missing, follow the steps below to recreate it.

What You Should Do

If you'd like to repost the LinkedIn content that did not successfully post, please follow the steps below based on the type of post.

Custom Posts Scheduled Only to LinkedIn

These posts will need to be recreated manually since they will no longer appear on the "Sent & Scheduled" grid.

Note: If the post required compliance approval, you can view its contents in the "Compliance History" folder.

Posts Scheduled to LinkedIn and Another Social Network

  • Check the Social "Shared & Scheduled" Grid: Navigate to Social > Shared & Scheduled in the left navigation bar. Since the post was successfully shared to another social network, you can find it on the grid to help you recreate it.
  • View Post Details: Click on the post to preview it. In the preview, you should see a "Failed" tag associated with the LinkedIn profile(s).
  • Recreate the Post: Use the details provided in the preview to recreate and share the post to LinkedIn.

Monthly Market Insights (MMI) Posts

  • Manually Recreate the Post: Use the following copy:

"August ended strongly for U.S. markets, with the S&P 500 closing above 6,500 for the first time. A mix of slowing job growth and cooling inflation put the Fed’s next move in the spotlight as investors look ahead to the September meeting. And with football season kicking off, fans and advertisers are spending big to be part of the action. #Markets #StockMarket #FederalReserve #Football"

  • Include the MMI Landing Page: Include the MMI landing page link in your social post. You can create the landing page link by adding your website domain in front of "/campaigns/monthly-market-insights".
    • For example: https://www.WEBSITE-URL-HERE.com/campaigns/monthly-market-insights

Social Foundation Content

Unfortunately, since the Social Foundation campaign relies on randomized content, the failed send is no longer available to be previewed. If you wish to post a different piece of content, you can choose a piece of web content from the Content Library and share it manually.
