How to Register as a Verified Bot in Cloudflare

To ensure smooth processing and archiving of our websites, we have implemented firewall and rate-limiting rules. While these measures enhance security, they may inadvertently affect third-party archiving services like Global Relay, MirrorWeb, Smarsh, and others. To mitigate these issues, we have whitelisted these services. However, we highly recommend that archiving services register as a verified bot with Cloudflare to prevent any future disruptions.

Note: If you are an FMG website subscriber, please note that these instructions are intended for your archiving service provider. If you are the website owner and have received emails from your archiving provider about rate limiting, please respond with a link to this help article. No further action is required on your part.

Why Register as a Verified Bot?

Registering as a verified bot in Cloudflare offers several benefits:

  • Uninterrupted Access: Ensures that your archiving service can access and process our websites without being blocked by firewall or rate-limiting rules.
  • Enhanced Reliability: Reduces the chances of your service being mistakenly flagged as malicious or suspicious.
  • Faster Processing: Verified bots are processed more quickly and efficiently by Cloudflare's systems.
