Syncing MarketingPro

How to integrate your MarketingPro contacts with your admin

Before you begin, please note that FMG does not support shared email addresses when importing via MarketingPro integration. Each of your contacts will need a unique email address, and multiple contacts cannot have the same email address. Prior to syncing your MarketingPro contacts, make sure that each contact has a unique email address. The criteria for syncing to FMG contacts is that the contact must have a unique (nonduplicate) email address and/or a complete physical address.

If you have contacts in MarketingPro with shared email addresses, we suggest exporting a CSV file of your contacts from MarketingPro and then uploading them to FMG using the CSV upload tool. For more information on handling duplicate contacts, click here.


Syncing MarketingPro

To sync your MarketingPro contacts with your FMG account:

  1. Access the Contacts Page: In your FMG admin, navigate to Contacts > Manage Contacts in the navigation pane on the left side of your dashboard:

  2. Initiate Sync: Click "Sync MarketingPro" under Import Your Contacts:

  3. Authenticate: Log into your MarketingPro account. This is a one-time authentication process to enable successful syncing.
  4. Configure Sync Settings: In the "MarketingPro Synchronization" modal, select your preferences:

    1. What Would You Like to Sync From MarketingPro?

      1. All Contacts/Groups: This will sync all of your contacts and groups

      2. Just Specific Groups: Choose which specific groups you would like to sync

      3. Checkbox: Check the box if you'd like to sync only main contacts from MarketingPro

    2. Sync Frequency

      1. Checkbox: If you would like MarketingPro to sync with FMG daily, enable automatic syncing by checking the box next to "Automatically sync with MarketingPro at the end of each day."

    3. Sync FMG Activity

      1. Checkbox: Uncheck the box next to "Sync FMG activity to MarketingPro.

During the syncing process, all existing contacts in your FMG admin will be replaced with your MarketingPro contacts. If you have contacts in FMG that aren't in MarketingPro, export them and add them to MarketingPro before syncing.


Updating Your Sync Settings

To update your sync settings after your initial integration:

  1. In your FMG admin, navigate to Contacts > Manage Contacts in the navigation pane on the left side of your dashboard.

  2. Select the arrow dropdown next to "Update Contacts" and select "Update current settings.":

  3. You can then update the contact settings in the "MarketingPro Synchronization" modal.


Contact Limits

Contact Integration is limited to 30,000 contacts and/or 1,000 groups in your MarketingPro database, regardless of how many are selected to sync. Attempts to sync databases larger than this limit will fail.
