How do I import contacts from my phone? (Mobile)

Access your phone's contacts directly from the MyRepChat mobile app

When you first log in to the MyRepChat mobile app, you'll be prompted to allow the app to access your device's contacts. Granting this permission is the easiest way to make your existing phone contacts available within the app.

Importing contacts from your phone does not automatically grant messaging consent. You must obtain consent separately before messaging any imported contact.

How Do I Allow Contact Access on First Login?

  1. When prompted during your first login, tap Allow to grant MyRepChat access to your device contacts.
  2. Your phone contacts will now be searchable in the app when starting a new message or looking up a contact.

How Do I Allow Contact Access After Skipping the Prompt?

If you declined access during your first login, you can enable it later.

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap MyRepChat.
  3. Tap Contacts and select Allow Access.

Android

  1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
  2. Tap Apps, then find and tap MyRepChat.
  3. Tap Permissions.
  4. Tap Contacts and select Allow.

Once access is granted, your phone contacts will be searchable in MyRepChat. Any new contacts you add to your phone afterward will also appear automatically, without needing to re-grant permissions.
