What to Expect When You Sign Up for DIFM
Welcome to DIFM — Here’s How It Works
You signed up for DIFM because you want your marketing handled — and that’s exactly what we’re here to do. Your dedicated DIFM Concierge takes the strategy, content, and execution off your plate every single month so you can stay focused on your clients and your practice.
This article walks you through what’s included, what we need from you to make the partnership work, and answers the questions we hear most often.
Getting Started: Your First Three Calls
DIFM onboarding is designed to be quick — three focused calls to get everything in place before your marketing begins.
Call 1 — Kickoff.
We cover your goals, your audience, brand preferences, and what to expect from the program.
Call 2 — Dashboard Setup.
We walk through your FMG platform — contacts, social profiles, compliance workflow, and content preferences.
Call 3 — Concierge Handoff.
You meet your dedicated DIFM Concierge, we review any open items, walk you through how the content calendar works, and you’re ready to go.
Who Gets the Most Out of DIFM
DIFM is built for established advisors who want to deepen client relationships, generate referrals, and stay consistently visible — without spending their time on marketing logistics. The advisors who see the strongest results have an existing book of business they want to nurture, believe consistent communication beats one-off campaigns, and are comfortable partnering with experts and delegating execution.
Those advisors who commit to the process — attending monthly calls, personalizing content, and treating their Concierge as a true marketing partner — consistently report stronger client engagement, more referral conversations, and a growing digital presence. Results compound over 6–18 months, not overnight.
"Clients think I'm tirelessly working at my keyboard day and night. It honestly looks better than anything I could have done on my own." — Joseph M.
"My appointment with my concierge every month is as important as my time with my granddaughter. He is absolutely a staple in my business." — Suzanne
💡 DIFM is a retention and referral program — not a lead generation service. It's designed to nurture the relationships you already have so those clients become your best source of referrals over time.
What We Handle Every Month
Here's what your DIFM program delivers every single month, consistently — regardless of how busy things get on your end.
A complete content calendar.
Each month you’ll receive a fully built marketing plan covering 2–4 emails (client-facing, COI-specific, and automated sequences), 5–8 social posts, and 1–2 SEO-optimized blog articles. You’ll also have video scripts, webinar/podcast scripts, and marketing tips that put you in the spotlight for your audience. We write it, schedule it, and publish it.
Exclusive content from FMG thought leaders.
Your calendar is developed by Samantha Russell and Susan Theder — available only to DIFM subscribers and built around the real questions clients are asking.
Breaking news alerts.
When markets move or current events create a moment to reach out, we respond quickly — typically within 24 hours.
Weekly social assists.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, you’ll receive curated article options to share, so your presence stays active between scheduled posts.
A monthly strategy call with your Concierge.
Your Concierge walks through the upcoming calendar, reviews analytics, and highlights personalization opportunities. These calls are one of the most valuable parts of the program — we recommend attending them.
Quarterly event support and referral email.
Each quarter, we promote and manage follow-up for an event tailored to your practice, and send a dedicated referral email to your existing client list.
💡Blog publishing works best with a Website Suite Premium plan. Without it, blog content will still be written, but your Concierge won’t be able to publish it directly to your site. Reach out if you have questions about your website plan.
What We Need From You
The best DIFM partnerships are collaborative. Here’s where we count on you:
-
Show up for your monthly call. This is your chance to review what’s coming, flag anything that doesn’t fit, and keep your strategy on track.
-
Keep your contact list current. When you bring on a new client or prospect, add them to your FMG Dashboard so we can keep them in the loop.
-
Tell us when things change. New niche, new service, shifted focus — let us know so we can adjust in real time.
-
Review and approve your calendar. Unless you tell us otherwise, we’ll proceed with everything planned — so if something doesn’t feel right, speak up before the month begins.
-
Add personalizations to your content. The one thing our content needs is your personal touch. We’ll ask for your personal photos, favorite stories, heartfelt memories, common phrases, and critical lessons that show your audience who you are at your core.
-
Be in the spotlight. Present the videos, record the podcasts, and host the webinars. Show your audience what you know.
- Engage on social media. We publish the content, but authentic comments and replies have to come from you. It’s the one thing we genuinely can’t do on your behalf.
💡Your Concierge can only work with what they know. The more you keep them in the loop — new clients, new focus areas, big life events in your practice — the better your marketing will reflect your business.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the questions we hear most, along with honest answers.
What if I don’t like something on the calendar?
Let your Concierge know before the review window closes. If you don’t respond, we’ll proceed as planned — so it’s worth a few minutes each month to review.
Can I request content for my niche or ideas outside the standard calendar?
Your Concierge can incorporate your ideas, timely topics, and niche opportunities into the monthly calendar. For fully custom content built from scratch outside existing content tracks, they’ll walk you through what’s possible and set realistic expectations on timing.
Can my Concierge publish to my own website or third-party tools?
Your Concierge works exclusively within the FMG platform. If you use outside tools or have your own website, they won’t be able to log in and publish on your behalf — but they’ll make sure everything is ready for you to post yourself.
💡Blog publishing is part of the standard DIFM experience with a Website Suite Premium plan. Without it, blog content can still be written, but your Concierge won’t be able to publish it directly to your site. Reach out if you have questions about your website plan.
Can DIFM help me generate new leads?
DIFM is built around nurturing the relationships you already have — not cold outreach or list-based marketing. The growth it drives is organic: clients who feel consistently informed and valued become your best source of referrals over time.
How quickly do you turn things around?
Most requests are completed within a few business days. More complex asks may take a week or more — we’ll always give you a realistic timeline upfront.
Will I lose control of my marketing?
No. You review the full calendar each month, request changes, and approve what goes out. Everything is editable.
How does billing work?
Your DIFM subscription begins right away — and that’s intentional. Because your Concierge can start executing email and social content immediately (even before your website is live), your billing reflects active service from day one. We recommend setting up auto-pay for convenience.
How long until I see results?
Most advisors notice engagement signals — client replies, referral conversations, meeting requests — within the first few months. Revenue and AUM growth typically follow consistent execution over 6–18 months.
