What is the FMG Testimonials Automation?

Our Testimonials Automation helps you request testimonials from your clients using your FMG Testimonials landing page. Once configured, the automation sends a compliant, trackable email to selected contacts, inviting them to share feedback via your unique testimonial page.

How to turn on the FMG Testimonials Automation

To enable this automation:

  1. Go to Automated Marketing in your FMG admin.
  2. Locate the Testimonials Automation using the Category filter and choose “Testimonials” or search “Testimonials” in the search bar.

  3. Toggle the automation to On.
  4. When prompted, enter your unique FMG Testimonials landing page URL; this step is required and must be completed before the automation can be saved.

  5. Select your audience by choosing one or more client groups. Best practice is to select clients rather than prospects or leads, so testimonial requests come from people who have experienced your services.
  6. Click Save to finalize your automation's setup.

After you initially enable the automation, it will send to a randomized 20% of your selected audience on the following Friday. After that, the automation will send on Fridays to a smaller random selection of contacts from your chosen audience. 

Adjusting your audience

You can change which contacts are included in the automation at any time by updating the selected groups in your automation settings. When you change the audience, a new “20% blast” is automatically scheduled for the following Friday to include newly added contacts in the testimonial request.

Managing scheduled sends and individual contacts

Unlike our other Automated Marketing emails, you have full visibility and control over upcoming testimonial emails a week in advance through your Sent & Scheduled grid. 

From there, you can:

  1. Click into next week's upcoming scheduled Testimonials Automation send to see which contacts are queued to receive that email.
  2. Remove individual contacts from that send if necessary (for example, if an individual is handling a personal matter), or cancel the entire scheduled send for the week. 
  3. ​Any contact you remove from a particular send remains part of the automation’s audience and will be automatically rescheduled to receive a testimonial request email in the near future.
