🤔 Troubleshooting Social Network Post Statuses
Below is a breakdown of all the possible social network post statuses and what they mean:
Post Status is ‘Scheduled’ or ‘In Review’
Scenario #1 | All Systems Go!
There are no errors indicated, and the post should be shared across all scheduled social integrations.
Scenario #2 | Invalid Integration
In this scenario, one of the social integrations (e.g., LinkedIn) is invalid or expired, as shown on the Manage Social Media page. Consequently, the post will not be shared to this integration but should be shared to other valid social integrations.
Scenario #3 | Profile no longer linked
Here, one of the scheduled social integrations (e.g., Facebook) has been removed from the user’s account prior to sharing. The post will not be shared with that social integration but should be shared with other valid social integrations.
Scenario #4 | Pending Compliance
This scenario occurs when a social integration (e.g., LinkedIn) is awaiting compliance approval. If approved before the scheduled time, the post will be shared.
Note: Users should only see this status on Social Foundations posts on the Marketing Calendar. No other social post type attempts to schedule a post to an integration that is pending compliance approval and Social Foundations posts don’t appear on the “Shared & Scheduled” grid until they are shared.
Post Status is ‘Shared’
Scenario #1 | All Systems Go!
The post was successfully shared across all scheduled social integrations without any errors, and all integrations are still active on the user's account.
Scenario #2 | All Systems Go — but Profile no longer linked
The post was successfully shared across all integrations. However, one of the integrations (e.g., Facebook) has since been removed from the user’s account.
Scenario #3 | Failed | Invalid Integration
The post failed to share to one of the scheduled integrations because it became invalid prior to the post being shared. The integration for the following types of social posts might have been invalid at the time they were scheduled. This is because we still attempt to schedule these posts to integrations that are not valid:
- Social Sequences
- Blog Posts
- Web Content
Scenario #4 | Failed | Network Error
The post was not shared due to a network error, which could be an API issue or a content validation failure (e.g., scheduling an emoji-only post to Instagram).
