You can configure email notifications to be sent to your inbox whenever you receive a text message in MyRepChat. This is especially useful if you tend to monitor your email more closely than MyRepChat itself.
Note: If you're part of a broker-dealer using automated consent or disclosures, that process can override an email notification from being sent. Inbound messages from a new contact won't trigger an email notification for the first incoming message.
How Do I Set Up Email Notifications?
- In the menu on the left side of your Dashboard, click Auto Responses.
- Click + Auto Response to create a new one.
- Confirm the When An field says Incoming SMS.
- Leave the Equals field blank.
- Click the Then dropdown and change it to Send Email To.
- Type the desired email address in the Message text box.
- Use the toggle to turn email notifications on (green = on, red = off).
- Click Save in the bottom right.
What Will the Email Notification Look Like?
Email notifications arrive as plain text and include the contact's name along with their message.
