How do I enable notifications on my Android? (Mobile)
Turn on banner notifications, app badges, and sounds for MyRepChat on Android
Most Android phones won't let you change notification settings until you've received at least one message. If you haven't received a message on your MyRepChat number yet, send yourself a test message to unlock these settings.
When you log in to the MyRepChat Mobile App for the first time, or after being logged out, you will be prompted to enable notifications if you have not already done so. If you want to enable notifications without waiting for this prompt, you can turn them on from your Android settings.
How Do I Enable Notifications for MyRepChat?
- Open the Settings app on your Android device.
- Go to Apps (or Apps & Notifications).
- Search for and select MyRepChat.
- Tap Notifications (this may appear under a Privacy or similar section, depending on your device).
- Toggle on Allow Notifications.
How Do I Customize My Notification Preferences?
Once notifications are enabled, you can further customize how MyRepChat alerts you:
- Whether notifications appear on the lock screen.
- Whether app icon badges are turned on or off.
- Whether you see notification pop-ups or banners.
- Whether sound and vibration are turned on or off.
Notification settings vary across Android devices, so these steps may not match exactly on every phone. If they don't apply to your device, check your phone's own notification settings directly.
