Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a powerful, easy-to-use application that allows you to add, manage, and edit tags on your website. Without GTM, you'd need to add custom code to various parts of your website. GTM takes care of this for you!
A Facebook Pixel is just one of many kinds of tags you may want to add to your website.
What does a Facebook Pixel do for me?
Once added to your website, this code tracks traffic from FB ads, giving you important information to help you optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads, and target people who have already taken some kind of action on your website.

Here's how to get an FB Pixel added to your website, through your GTM account
Heads up! You will want to have BOTH your (1) GTM and (2) Facebook Business Manager accounts open and accessible to complete the steps below.

2 - Now, you need to grab your pixel from your Facebook account! Click here to get to your Facebook Events Manager.
3 - If you haven't created a Pixel yet, click "Add New Data Source" under "Data Sources." Select "Facebook Pixel" in the dropdown:
If you have already created your pixel, navigate to the Pixel in your Events Manager and click "Set Up" in the top right-hand corner. From there, click "Install Pixel" and you can skip down to Step #6 below!
4 - Next, name your pixel (this can be changed later):
5 - Click "Continue" and choose the "manual" option here:

Click here for more details about how to
Save/Publish changes in your GTM account.
Wondering where to find this test? If you still have the popup from Step #6 open in your Facebook Events Manager, simply scroll down to #3 in that popup and there's the test!
Closed that window? Easy! On your Pixel in the FB Events Manager, click "Set Up" in the top right-hand corner and click "Install Pixel." Again, choose the option to manually add the pixel to your site. Next, you've already added that code to your GTM account - just scroll down to #3 on that popup and paste your domain name there.
